Hi, we’re Chris and Jake. We live on Fort Myers Beach and created The Loft as the kind of place we’d want our friends and family to stay: comfortable, thoughtfully stocked, surrounded by a tropical garden, and an easy walk from the beach and downtown.
We’re glad to share our favorite part of the island with you.
Host
Chris grew up in Florida, and the beach has always been his happy place: fishing at sunrise, cruising on the boat, or paddleboarding the calm back bay. When he’s not on the water, he’s working on projects around The Loft to make every stay a little more comfortable.
Host and head gardener
Jake is the one behind the details, from fluffed pillows to cozy corners. He also turned the grounds into a tropical garden full of palms and colorful flowers, the kind of place where you sip your morning coffee and feel like you’re on vacation.
Layla, our black lab and border collie mix, lives here too. You may see her around the property. She loves meeting new people and never turns down a splash in the surf.
We’re on Third Street in downtown Fort Myers Beach, so the beach and the island’s best evenings are both a short walk from your door.

I saw a rainbow in the morning almost every day! Chris and Jake were perfect hosts and the gardens were beautiful.”
